Fall Fun with Leaves!
We canβt believe we are actually discussing fall when summer still feels so close! But, as we walk outside with our little ones, one thing is obvious . . . leaves are starting to fall! Letβs make the most of this autumn milestone and encourage language skills!
π Babies:
Scoop up leaves and let your baby discover them with their senses! Talk about what your baby is doing!

π Toddlers:
Leaves are the perfect opportunity to target functional first words!
Throw the leaves UP.

Put the leaves IN the basket. Take the leaves OUT! Do you need HELP?

Fall Tree Art Project π
We want to soak up all the fall colors right now! ππ Our little ones also love the beautiful fall hues, so why not have them enjoy the colors with fun activities at home?
All ages can enjoy this activity, and you probably have enough supplies around the house!
π What youβll need:
Paper
Marker(s)
Q-tips (fingers work too), if painting
Washable paint or Dab & Dot markers
π What to do:
Draw a tree trunk on paper.
Have your little one fill the tree with leaves! Use fingers πor q-tips to dot different colored leaves all over the tree OR use dot markers! π΄π π‘
π Alternatives:
Sticker dots
Cut up colored paper or tissue paper pieces that can be glued on (for a more time-consuming variation)
Pom poms
